Scholarship Opportunity
The MCRA Executive Board
feels it is important for MCRA to provide continuing education opportunities to
our members. We also feel it is
important for as many registrars as possible to be able attend our annual
meeting. We would like to help give
Registrars the opportunity to attend this meeting by offering two $200
scholarships each year for two members.
This money is to help registrars that do not have the benefit of their
organizations paying their way to the meeting.
Scholarship Guidelines
Those interested in the
scholarship must submit an application prior to the MCRA meeting. Two names from those submitted will be
randomly drawn by one Executive Board member and witnessed by one other
person. Winners will be notified two
weeks prior to the MCRA meeting. If
they are unable to attend that meeting it can be used the following year, after
that, if it is not used it will expire.
Qualifying Guidelines:
- Open to all active members who do not have their
expenses paid in full by another source.
- $200 scholarship may be used towards paying
expenses for attending the MCRA meeting or for the registration fee for
the cancer registrar’s certification exam.
- May apply each year if unsuccessful, but can win
only one time in a three-year period.
- The Treasurer will coordinate with winner in
dispensing the scholarships.
Deadline
Application must be
postmarked or faxed by May 4, 2010.
Drawing will take place May 6, 2010 so you have time to plan your trip
to the MCRA workshop.
